Having recently retired from Parker Hannifin Aerospace where I was working FBW system monitors, redundancy management, and architecture after 39 years of continuous aerospace employment, I am seeking a part time (15 – 20 hrs/week) consultancy/subcontract role in vehicle control (e.g. air transport flight controls) systems design/requirements definition and/or systems analysis. Expectation is that work would be accomplished largely from my home in northern San Diego county with possibly occasional travel.. I have extensive background in architecture and redundancy management of high integrity/high availability systems and have worked with a wide range of technologies and facets of systems development. Proven ability to address overall system ‘big picture’ issues as well as to work at more detailed levels and to derive innovative solutions where needed. Extensive experience in flight controls systems development in both individual contributor and technical small team leadership roles. Ability to understand, and facilitate, addressing of hardware and software issues at a systems level.
