About Artash N.

My work spans the frontiers of oceans, space exploration, robotics, pandemics, AI, and quantum computing, focusing on solving intergenerational challenges with cutting-edge algorithms, advanced computations, and big data. My recent projects include MonitorMyOcean.com, a UN Decadal Activity endorsed by IOC-UNESCO, which uses hydrophone data to measure the acoustic silence of global oceans during the COVID-19 lockdown. I developed MonitorMyLockdown.com, utilizing seismic data to assess lockdown effectiveness in real-time. I've created machine learning algorithms to analyze exoplanetary atmospheres and modeled quadruple pendulums for LIGO, aiding in the discovery of gravitational waves.Embracing hackathons as platforms for innovation, I've built over 30 robots, rockets, rovers, battle bots, and ML projects, displayed at the Ontario Science Centre, Toronto International Film Festival, and Maker Festivals, with recognition from NASA, the Canadian Space Agency, the European Space Agency's ARIEL Space Mission, the Royal Astronomical Society of Canada, and the Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada. My expertise has been shared through 80+ talks at prestigious conferences, including the GeoPython Conference, EuroGoos Technology Forum, UN Ocean Conference, SciPy, Ocean Sciences Meeting, American Geophysical Union, Planetary Defense Conference, World Bank Measuring Development Conference, EGU General Assembly, and many more.Featured in national media like the Toronto Star, CTV News, CBC News, and Global News, my work continues to push the boundaries of technological and scientific exploration. • Monitor My Lockdown
    Founder
Monitor My Lockdown Feb 2021 - Jun 2023
Monitor My Lockdown is an open data analytics venture that measures reduction in human movements due to COVID-19 lockdowns using live seismic data so that policymakers can manage the pandemics better.Lockdowns are essential to break human to human transmission of the virus but come with political, economic, social and health costs. MonitorMyLockdown.com provides a tool to policymakers to enforce surgical lockdowns based on time and location to reduce the costs. It allows health workers to predict when and where COVID-19 cases are likely to spike and can move testing kits and personal protection equipments (PPEs) to those locations.
