My name is Manfred Schaefer. I am an abstract acrylic and oil artist, who sometimes will, paint PopArt characters as surrealism.My paintings are made to be framed, I do not regularly paint the sides of the canvas. I do this purposely so that the art will get framed.It looks so much better with a boarder around the work.I was born in Germany 1963. Became a US citizen in 1988. I’ve been a photographer since 1988 and a painter since 2010.I usually don’t take special orders for a painting but have been known to accept a few that inspired me. I am partial to US Military, Police and Firefighters and will try to accomedate them with consigned works. I live and work in Wisconsin. I am also a coffee blogger at The Coffee Tongue.Artist Statement:I create Abstracts on canvas through texture, color and imagination. I do not approach a canvas with preconceived ideas.
