Graduated in Economics, in the years of 1970/71, on the “ISCEF – Instituto Superior de Ciências Económicas e Financeiras”.Between 1971 and 1975, Professor of Statistics, Descriptive and Analytical, respectively on the “ISE – Instituto Superior de Economia”, ex-ISCEF, and on the “ISCTE – Instituto Superior de Ciências do Trabalho e da Empresa”, the two major Universities of Economics and Management.Between 1973 and 1975, Sub-Tennent at the War Navy.In the last three years at the University, Tourist Guide during the Summer Holidays.After graduation, Professional Internship at Esso Belgium.Published Book during this period: "Descriptive Statistics" in co-authorship with Dr. Bagão Félix.Between 1970 and 1975, “Superior Technician” and “Investigator” of the “INII – Instituto Nacional de Investigação Industrial” period where collaborated in the processes of reorganization of some sectors of activity of the Portuguese industry and participated in the development of several works of industrial investigation.Published books during this period: “Sectorial Diagnostic Methodology" and "Industrial Projects Analysis".Conference subject during this period: "New Opportunities of Investment in Portugal".Between 1975 and 1978, Deputy and / or Advisor for the Economic and Industry Affairs of the “Secretaries of State of Industry” or the “Ministers of Industry” Moura Vicente, Santos Martins, Nuno Abecassis, José Rabaça and Cardoso e Cunha.
