I started OttoFeller in 2012 because I felt myself responsible and experienced enough to take a customers projects, get the essence of them and finish them in a predictable date and within a budget. By the moment we are the team of professionals with a wide expertise in the area of web development. Our main strength are full stack projects — from design mockups to final deployment into the cloud.Being the lead person of a software development company means a lot of responsibility and a lot of interactions with other people. Beside numerous conversations, negotiations and discussions with customers I spend a lot of time with the team — developers, designers, not to forget writers and PR specialists.Even though I spend a lot of time taking high scale decisions I like to be involved into software engineering tasks. Whenever we start a new project I spend a time with developers in discussions about technology stack and a project architecture design.

Gurnet Group was a small software development company with about 10 employees. I started there as a full stack developer (backend and front end in vanilla java script) but soon I headed couple of projects as a technical team lead. The projects were primarily e-commerce platforms with custom features and complex business logic under the hood.In Gurnet Group I learned some important things about how to collaborate in a team, what technical problems may a team face and how important is it to have technical standards in a software development company.

This was my first serious job. I joined an amazing team of Perl enthusiast developers. And I can clearly recall how much excited I was about what we were doing back then. That was truly awesome! We were turning every single task into deep research, hot discussions and finally into masterpiece (well, not always masterpiece).I learned to code backend in Perl there. Additionally I was doing front end. It was the time when java script was not as powerful as it is now days so most front end solutions were based on vanilla java script and xml/xslt.
