Responsibilities:- Managing purchase and selection of materials for packaging products (biodegradable and plastic) to serve client needs.- Perform troubleshooting of the equipment to diagnose and resolve problems.- Maintain records/logs of repairs and fixes and maintenance schedule.- Working together with team in a flexible manner to achieve maximum productivity throughout the shift, liaising to resolve problem areas.- Carrying out planned preventative maintenance on the full range of equipment within the site.- Carrying out quality control of products.- Responsible for health and safety measures being implemented at the workplace.- Consolidating time sheets and creating working schedules for employees.- Training new joiners and educating them about the production process.Achievements:- Set up processes for quality management taking into account three major processes of planning, assurance, and control resulting in minimal write-offs of 10%.- Achieved a company whole-time record of 8.3 tons of product in 12 hours.- Trained 8 new joiners, who were all promoted in 1.5 years on average and were able to manage their own teams.- Promoted to lead engineer after 2 years in a role, to senior lead engineer after further 2 years.
