The Facilities Management & Services Department 's vision is to be recognized as apremier FMS department and as Spelman's role model for high-quality service and operations. FMS worksas a collaborative team with pride, respect and a spirit of excellence to care for the integrity, safety,operations and appearance of campus grounds and physical infrastructure in service and support ofSpelman's mission. Manage all aspects of campus operation including Maintenance, Custodial, Grounds, Administration, Design & Construction. Oversight of numerous construction projects ranging from the renovation of Rockefeller Hall, Spelman College's oldest building, constructed in 1881, and the design and construction of the a new LEED Silver certified 303-bed residence hall.Serve as Chairman of the Board of the University Community Development Corporation, 2nd Vice- President of GAPPA and as a board member of Sustainable Atlanta.Facilities Management & Services was awarded the 2008 Exemplary Customer Service Award Implemented a new web-based work management system. Requested to serve as the Interim Director of Physical Plant at Spelman College from February until July while the College completed its searchfor a permanent Director. At the end of the interim period, the College decided to hire me as the Director.

Managed a team of Preservation Consultants in executing Campus Heritage Plans for four Historically Black Colleges & Universities Assisted Spelman College Housing Assessment Team

Department of Project Management &ConstructionDirected a team of project managers in executing all aspects of over $250 million of capital design andconstruction programs for Emory College and Woodruff Health Sciences. Managed the selection of consultants and contractors. Prepared and coordinated the execution of contracts. Served as the design and construction liaison between operations, maintenance, design and construction teams. Worked with senior management to plan expenditures for campus construction projects. Coordinated the implementation and management of the Owner Controlled Insurance Program that resulted in reduced costs and improved construction safety. Provided regular project updates and status reports to committees, staff and senior management. Ensured that appropriate customer service standards were met. Participated in the development and implementation of strategic plans for growth and improvements to the campus. Conceived and implemented an Intranet tool that facilitated access of departmental procedures. Developed new tools for reporting bond cash flow data that provided the Budget Office with more timely and accurate information.

CIP) Construction ManagementAs the Deputy Director responsibilities included providing leadership for the implementation and deliveryof Fulton County's facility projects. Services included project-specific planning and management of design,construction and support services required to complete projects in accordance with performance goals.Responsibilities also included status reporting of implementation activities, and providing technical andplanning support to the Program Manager as requested.
