Applied knowledge of human anatomy, aseptic and sterile cleaning techniques. Maintained my work station in accordance with all Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) that were clean, well-stocked, and organized to ensure optimal work and client flow. I was assigned as the Preceptor for the Donor Center and mentored all new Donor Center personnel, including Civilians as well as Regular and Reserve Army Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) students. Performed clerical duties related to checking in the client through varies programs. Operated and maintained the computer systems in accordance with the contractor’s recommendations and existing departmental SOP’s. Maintained varies reports utilizing various programs, such Microsoft Word, Excel and Data Base in an organized, systematic manner which allowed easy retrieval of results. Insured adequate supplies were on hand and placed orders with Technical Supervisor/OIC/NCOIC if more were needed. Assisted in other areas as deemed necessary by the Technical Supervisor, Senior Medical Technologist, or OIC. I provided other general office support in the following but not limited to answering the multiline telephone, referring clients to other clinics if needed, and reviewing records and other related documents to the donor center. Maintained clients’ privacy in all matters IAW HIPPA. Have been asked to perform validation for various equipment and SOPs’ in order to meet FDA, AABB, requirements. Performed Collage of America Pathologist Surveys (CAP) with a 100% rating. Monitor inventory for supplies, reagents and controls allowing sufficient lead time to obtain additional supplies prior to running out. Annotates date received and initials all supplies upon receipt and opening. Ensure all expired supplies are disposed of properly.
