Arthur Gerada is an experienced leader with over 20 years of experience in the IT and healthcare sectors. He holds an MBA and a BSc in IT from the University of Malta and began his career in various IT roles before transitioning into managerial positions.Currently, Arthur is the CEO of Healthcare Logistics Ltd., where he leads a team specialising in delivering innovative and reliable IT services and solutions, primarily focusing on the health and care sector to improve care outcomes.Prior to joining Healthcare Logistics Ltd., Arthur served as Chief Information Officer for both the Ministry for Health and the Ministry for Social Policy. In these roles, he oversaw numerous IT implementations, including the Integrated Health Information System (IHIS), which is considered the cornerstone of the public healthcare service, as well as other systems such as Pharmacy of Your Choice (POYC) and Breast Screening.He also championed the myHealth project, a national initiative designed to provide patients with controlled access to their medical records, from conceptualisation to successful launch. myHealth was recognised as the Best eGovernment Initiative in 2012, just a few months after its launch, and has since undergone several iterations.
