Arthur is a trained archaeologist who is passionate about heritage, archaeology, and the history of the world. He has a personal interest and experience in archaeology of New Zealand and the Pacific through his studies at the University of Otago from 2016 to 2020. He is also just as excited about starting is journey into British archaeology when he makes it move in early 2024!He has experience in field work around New Zealand, Papua New Guinea, and Micronesia. These experiences have helped him gain the knowledge and skills as an archaeologist, not just from research at university.His MA and honors research thesis’ looked at pottery from Papua New Guinea and Micronesia where he learnt to chemically analyse samples using an SEM (scanning electron microscope). This gave him four years of experience analysing pottery, geologically sourcing minerals through SEM analysis, lab analysis and hypothesis led research.His MA research looked at early pottery from the Mariana Islands and allowed him to lead his first research project. This entailed a visit to Guam, Tinian and Saipan where he collected geological samples to chemically compare them to pottery samples excavated from sites.Research:Arthur Grainger, Glenn R.
