Re-engineered network infrastructure to provide better performance and security for critical systems by enhancing firewall policies and implementing Network Address Translation (NAT) on network facing servers. Worked with windows server 2012 Active Directory environment, Cisco UC540 network router/switch/firewall/voice appliance, Netgear switches, Synology Network Attached Storage (NAS), and Dell/Asus servers. Implemented SSL VPN on VoIP system to allow remote registration of Cisco phones back to the organization. Deployed Windows Hyper-V environment to expand upon virtual infrastructure and created backup procedures using Veeam application. Scripted new batch based backup process for critical database files utilizing DOS robocopy commands. Also created powershell scripts to remotely restarted computer services and processes on specific application server. Set up end user backup schedule, for critical files, using Microsoft SyncToy.
