Co Founded and Co Leader to the Michigan Microplastics Coalition- We are a group of environmental individuals and organizations that are focused on precautionary and progressive microplastic management in the waters of the Michigan Great Lakes. We will use legislation and education/outreach actions to meet our mission and objectives.The Michigan Microplastics Coalition (MMC) is a group of concerned organizations and individuals whose goal is to actively participate in reducing and managing the emerging water quality pollutant microplastics in the Michigan Great Lakes.

Reach out to public organizations, municipalities and environmental chapters to educate them on plastics/microplastics issue effecting the Great Lakes and Water of the State of Michigan. Lobby state representatives on proposed legislation about microplastic strategy and microbead banning.

Advocate for stopping and managing microplastics in the Great Lakes. Promoting new legislation in Michigan to develop a strategy plan for the Great Lakes to address microplastics in the aquatic environment.

Provide outreach and education about microplastics in the Great Lakes with an emphasis on Lake Michigan. Coordinate with environmental groups and state/federal agencies on mitigation strategies. Striving to change water quality regulations in Michigan associated with nurdles, and biosolids (containing microplastics) stabilization. Striving to education the public on stopping plastics pollution at the source.

Review environmental legislation and provide summaries and recommendations on environmental legislation to House Representative and Senators.

Stakeholder in the NEPA Process concerning the construction of the Enbridge Line 5 Tunnel. Coordinate public meeting presentations, document reviews and public education and outreach. Review of purpose and need, alternatives, environmental impacts and mitigation.

Line 5 transports Canadian oil and propane under the Straits of Mackinaw; the straits where Lake Huron meets Lake Michigan. The pipeline is over 70 years old and well beyond the 40 year life. A leak would be devastating to both Lakes Michigan and Huron shoreline and surface waters and impact the Michigan economy. The Climate Reality Project is striving to have Line 5 shut down immediately; we support Governor Whitmer in her efforts to take legal action to stop the flow of oil under the Mackinaw Straits. The oil represents a continued risk to the sensitive water resource and to the climate by the burning of fossil fuels.

Supporting Climate Change Reality organization which is led by Al Gore. Being trained for 3 days by Al Gore and his staff on mitigating climate change in Las Vegas. I will be supporting the organization by providing presentations to the public, reaching out to local, state and federal representatives on legislation and supporting causes to transition/eliminate fossil fuels.

the Climate Reality Project is a worldwide climate change activist organization established by former Vice President Al Gore. The mission of this organization is to promote climate change awareness and action to protect the environmental quality of life for our current and future generations. The Boulder and Denver Chapters are highly active in local, regional, and state issues related to air quality, greenhouse gas (ghg) emissions, climate change and public health. The Climate Reality Project believes that equity, fairness, and the fully voiced engagement of frontline communities most impacted by climate change here in Colorado are essential components of any enduring climate solution and that to solve the climate crisis, we must pursue a just transition to a clean energy economy that nurtures healthy and sustainable communities and ecosystems.

Boulder Waterkeeper is a non profit 501 c 3 grassroots organization that is dedicated to making waters within the Boulder Creek Watershed, fishable, swimmable and drinkable; these attribute are consistent with the Clean Water Act. To meet these water quality objectives, I am involved with 1) public education and outreach, 2) regulatory review and advisory and 3) permit and regulatory enforcement. I work closely with university student about activist-ism and stream regulations and systems. I work closely with federal, state and local agencies that include the Colorado Legislature, Governor Polis, Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment and EPA. Boulder Waterkeeper fights for the rights of the Boulder Creek Watershed that many times are ignored by polluters and regulatory agencies.
