My investment experience includes private equity, venture capital, growth equity, buyouts, real estate, natural resources, and other real assets.I co-founded Franklin Templeton Private Equity (“FTPE”), a joint venture between Franklin Templeton, FTPE management, and Asia Alternatives, a leading Asia-focused private equity fund-of-funds firm. At FTPE, we developed a bottom-up, global high-alpha investment strategy and built a differentiated portfolio that’s overweight early-stage venture and growth life sciences.Previously, I served as Managing Director, Private Investments for the San Francisco Employees Retirement System (“SFERS”). During my tenure, SFERS’ private equity returns ranked annually in the Top 5 of U.S. pension plans and its real asset portfolio delivered returns in the Top 1% of its peer set. Prior to SFERS, I led the private equity asset class for the New York State Common Retirement Fund, a top-three U.S. pension plan with over $150 billion AUM.I began my career in finance at Goldman Sachs, where I learned the power of teamwork and collaboration to achieve common goals.
