For past fourteen years I have been working for the MoD in both a Management & Financial accounting capacity. During that time I have :- Worked on the project implementing commercial accounting in place of the cash accounting that went before. Been a General Ledger Manager responsible for the day to day running of the ledger & production of both the monthly & year end accounts including liason with the auditors. Been Deputy manager & Acting manager of a regional accounting support team servicing 120 cost centre's. Worked as a managemnt accountant in thePlans & Programming team within the Dept of Equipment & support. with a responsibility of ensuring that the DE&S came in within its Budgetary limits whilst ensuring that the Three services could continue to deliver their outputs effectively.Prior to this I had worked exclusively within the private sector with my last employer being Royal Ordnance Plc ( then Part of BAe System ) again as a management accountant.I would describe myself as a team player who is equally at home working on their own, used to working to tight deadlines with a desire to produce top quality work.
