Part-time position in the Department of Computing Science helping teach the courses Mathematics for Computer Science and Languages and Computability. My responsibilities included preparing and teaching the tutorial materials and aiding students in solving exercises.

Aided in the research and development of a novel, nature-inspired, swarm intelligence algorithm.Key responsibilities included reviewing current literature, implementing established algorithms, anddesigning and implementing a bench-marking suite of state-of-the-art techniques.

Worked on the EMBEDDIA Horizon 2020 European project. Implemented and evaluated variousdeep-learning translation models for machine translation of small bilingual corpora. Created and analysed an additional bilingual translation dataset from public news sources for a collaborating company.

Created a suite of analysis tools for use by Coastal Management Authorities around the UK.Responsibilities included implementing state-of-the-art techniques for point-cloud data manipulation,cleaning and analysis and creating a user interface in C++/Qt. I also travelled to several constituencies within the UK to pitch our solution to coastal management experts and researchers.
