    Starting in 1990 as an estimator sales person with East Hartford Welding, (which was the predecessor to United Steel), we were a small fabricator located in South Windsor CT with approximately $2.5M in revenue. I was promoted to VP of Sales in 1995 which allowed us to create the foundation for future company growth and by 1999 our revenue climbed to $24M. In 1999 I was promoted to VP of Sales and Construction Operations which again allowed us to institute strategic initiatives that included developing an improved, more capable field operation department. We Developed and implemented mandatory safety procedures including the first steel erector in our area to mandate a company wide 100% tie off policy along with the market area's first full time safety director. As a result and through this employees hard work our mod rate dropped from 1.2 to .74. More than anything else, due to the increased capacity and efficiency of this department our revenue continued to grow at a rate of 10-20% per year.Promoted to COO and President - Assumed responsibility for the fabrication facility along with the accounting department and complete P&L as of 2002 and along with CFO lead the company through a turnaround situation during the economic down turn.Through the dedication of many employees, we established a strong corporate culture that valued and rewarded teamwork, accountability, constant improvement and profitability. Company grew to revenues of approximately $68M with record profits while maintaining an outstanding reputation within the industry.
