Responsibilities• Assure regulatory compliance of gas transmission and distribution assets within a highly regulated environment• Liaise and negotiate with several asset owners to plan, develop and agree the requirements for each asset to ensure compliance• Investigate and report on the health of key systems and processes essential to the operation and maintenance of assets• Understanding the safety management process and the safety management system and developing Safety and Operating Plans around these• Monitor regulations and standards for changes, and assess impact changes have on assets and the business• Maintain a healthy relationship with the NSW and ACT Regulator by providing open honest answers to questions and being proactive in contacting them for advise and advising them in regards to up coming projects they need to be aware off• Facilitate regulatory Safety and Operating Plan Audits • Developing detailed audit plans to meet regulatory requirements and gaining information of the status of the • Develop action plans to address audit findings and facilitate responses from key business sectors• Monitor communications and reports to the NSW and ACT regulator • Compile and review annual regulatory reports• Provided details and comments on the development of Jemena’s compliance system (JCARS)• Assist in development of work plans and budgets• Assisted in the access arrangement process from a technical compliance perspective by providing key data and costing• Developing and maintaining regulatory audit schedules and plans and meeting key submission dated set by NSW and ACT government regulations• Conducted detailed internal reviews into the health of Jemena’s systems and processes by conducting internal reviews to assist General Managers to make informed decisions on allocating resources and funds • Interpreting Acts and Regulations for Technical compliance and assisting key stakeholders in meeting these requirements
