Medical Education Programs, Ltd. (MEDED), our first and oldest client celebrated over 18 years as a leader in the medical publishing industry. Functioning as their in-house production company since 1974, we serviced their clients' needs for audio, video and slide show productions and managed their meetings and events on a national and international basis.In association with MEDED, a few of our major projects included the 1989 and 1990 International Symposia on Estrogen Deprivation held in Portugal and Sicily and the 1991 Headache and Primary Care Practice Symposium held in Montreal. In the summer of 1992, Mountain Productions produced for MEDED a major two-day symposium in San Diego on Headache Management for an audience of 500 with satellite feeds to 96 locations around the country and a total audience capacity of 6,500.Working with the Greenwich Workshop in Fairfield, Connecticut, we produced a 35 minute documentary on Chinese art entitled, “China: Contemporary Realism from the Land of the Dragon” which was previewed in China as well as excerpted by both CNN and Charles Kuralt. This show was also viewed at a United Nations press conference convened to acknowledge the signing of trade agreements between the Greenwich Workshop and China that made possible the importation of the artwork. In the theatrical world Mountain Productions had worked with such entertainment personalities as Robert Vaughn, Ed Bryce and June Havoc. For Ms. Havoc we produced a promotional video for her new one-woman play which was shot on location in the Berkshires and post-produced entirely in-house at Mountain Productions.Recent installation projects in Connecticut include sound systems for United Methodist churches in Weston and Georgetown and a complete broadcast system for Telemedia, Inc., of Wallingford.
