Remington was acquired by Rayovac from private equity owners in 2003.Ravovac then rebranded to become Spectrum Brands.The roles here gave me excellent international experience in a disciplined Sarbanes Oxley corporate environment. I gained valuable treasury experience that deepened my knowledge of international trade. I gained experience of USGAAP and coordinated the Sarbanes Oxley implementation in the UK.Roles: ● Management Accounting; ● Financial Reporting, ● Intercompany, ● Acquisition steps, ● Tax enquiries, ● Marketing spend reporting.Projects: ● SOX introduction; ● SAP implementation; ● Inventory system reconciliation, ● Roll out post-acquisition re-organisation steps, including overseas subsidiaries and branches.

EDL’s first overseas expansion this start up venture was a joy. The Expat management team had a wonderful energy that gave this fledgling entity a head start. The momentum they created led the staff numbers in the UK to grow from 10 to 70 in those 3 years. The company had a feel good factor about it because it created electricity from methane gas a greenhouse gas. The expansion was executed well.
