A pediatric surgeon, Dr. Ross has served four university based medical schools as a campus executive or dean. These experiences have included both private and public universities. As a result of his extensive experience in medical school administration, he has been selected as a leader of several national professional and accrediting organizations. He is a past chair of the Liaison Committee on Medical Education (LCME) and the Governing Council for the American Medical Association Section on Medical Schools. He also served as a peer elected member of the Administrative Board of the Council of Deans, Association of American Medical Colleges (AAMC). At the present time Dr. Ross is actively engaged as a consultant for medical schools, academic health centers and large, highly integrated health systems. His consulting work focuses upon: 1) Academic Health Center / Hospital / Hospital System affiliations, mergers & acquisitions. 2) Medical school accreditation / reaccreditation and 3) Coaching (Deans and SVPs of Academic Health Centers).
