Business Valuation:•Manage portfolio including 100+ assets containing ownership interests in various businesses •Perform business valuations of closely-held business interests held in Trusts or fiduciary accounts that conform to industry practices using financial modeling and analysis in Excel•Determine if investments are of acceptable quality to retain or to consider the sale or orderly disposition•Research and develop potential third party buyers/markets for closely-held business interests•Analyze firm’s capital structure, corporate governance agreements and key shareholder issues•Prepare annual reviews of closely-held business interest •Present valuation analyses and conclusions internally to review committees & externally to clients’ senior management and board of directors, and fiduciaries•Review proposed transactions such as third party sales, tender offers and recapitalizations•Review third party valuations for accuracy, reasonableness, thoroughness and conformance to accepted industry standards and standard of valueFiduciary and Risk Management Support •Identification of risk issues of closely-held business interest investments and addresses these issues to mitigate risk of holding or selling these investments. •Act as subject matter expert for trust and estate administrators and portfolio managers regarding closely held business interests. •Properly documenting management and oversight of the assets in the context of directives, policies and procedures. •Ensuring the Special Asset group meets its compliance, internal and external audit requirements.
