• Supervise Military and Veteran Services and Veterans Upward Bound departments. • Certify students as the primary School Certifying Official and supervise the School Certifying Official team to ensure all certifications comply with federal (Department of Veteran Affairs) and state (MHEC and SAA) policies. For four years in a row, PGCC has earned a 100% success rate on annual surveys as a result of these efforts. • Writes and implements the annual United Way Veteran Services Grant; increased funding by 300% YOY since inception. • Create and manage all initiatives, programs and events to support the successful experience and matriculation of the military-connected student population. • Collaborate with over 100 external agencies, non-profit groups, and advocacy groups to create additional educational, financial, health-related and employment services for Veterans, their spouses, and their dependents. 1,400 unique individuals are served annually. This collaboration resulted in the creation of an annual Female Veteran Appreciation Fair, Veterans Appreciation Dinner, Veterans Job Fair, and Veterans Small Business Appreciation Breakfast. • Created and implemented an enrollment strategy to increase the military-connected student population resulting in an 8.2% YOY enrollment increase for this population. • Appointed by the College President to represent the college by serving as a Commissioner for the Maryland College Collaboration for Student Veterans Commission. • Appointed to review, update, and ensure compliance with the Department of Defense’s Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the college’s senior leadership team.• Secured over $226k in funding to create the annual Veteran Shark Tank Business Pitch competition. The pitch competition is currently in its fourth year of operations. • Secured external annual funding to create and manage the Veterans Scholarship Fund to assist military-connected students who’ve exhausted their educational benefits.
