Online video enhancement and enrichment.Root Content is a web-based startup which focusess on improving the online video user experience on the one hand and helping marketeers to accurately target their audience with online video on the other hand. We bring to the fore mostly technical solutions such as interactive or multilayer videoplayers.

Responsible for all external relations, PR, sponsoring, events, corporate rowing, corporate team-building, acquisition, sales, (social) media and branding for Amsterdam rowing club Okeanos. The club has about 450 members and as the Vice President I am in close contact with sponsors such as Accenture and stakeholders such as the Royal Dutch Rowing Federation.

My masterthesis is focused on online user experience and personalization for the Dutch National News Broadcaster (NOS). Incorporating multiple datasets from different sources,along with a self-designed experiment, I advised the NOS on how to personalize and improve their online news to the needs of their consumers.

Winner of the innovation fund from the Dutch Journalism fund. We started the project in december, competing against 40 teams which all had plans for innovating media and journalism. Through a series of 10 masterclasses with experts from the media and corporate industries, we built our business models, pivoted, pitched and presented our idea's, improved user experience and learned how to startup lean.
