Research & Development Chemist for the Oil & Gas Industry, by the Stress Corrosion Laboratory by H2S, CO2 and Corrosivity, of National Institute of Technology. In the last 4 years, works directly on projects in partneship with significant companies in the Oil & Gas scenario. In these, the main focus is the investigation and mitigation of failures caused by the corrosion of materials present in the pre-salt exploration.In the Corrosion segment for the Oil & Gas Industry, the use and mastery of physical-chemical, gravimetric, spectroscopic and electrochemical characterization techniques stands out, which help in understanding the phenomena caused by corrosion in OCTG alloys. Some topics in which it works directly are: optimization of acid stimulation fluids; investigation of corrosion by CO2 and/or H2S; hydrogen permeation in Flexible Pipelines; and study and evaluation of chemical additives (corrosion/fouling inhibitors, buffer solutions, among others).In parallel with the Corrosion area, for 10 years he has participated in research in the area of ​​Heterogeneous Catalysis, such as: conversion of petrochemicals to other substances of greater added value; photocatalysis of pollutants discharged into water bodies, using semiconductors combined with graphene derivatives (topic of Master's Dissertation in Chemical Engineering); and development of electrodes for the electroconversion of CO2 present in the Oil & Gas Industry.He is passionate about working on different themes, not just restricting himself to those that fit him in his “comfort zone”. In addition, it is extremely motivated in the development and obtaining of results that result in the basement of decision making.
