As a Chemical Engineering Student at Suncor Energy, I had the opportunity to contribute to significant projects aimed at improving operational efficiency and environmental impact. I developed a fouling prediction model for six cyclones in the coker unit using Matlab, leveraging extensive data analysis of operational parameters to refine the model. This project was driven by the goal of reducing unscheduled shutdowns, enhancing operational efficiency, and achieving cost savings upon implementation. Additionally, I conducted research on Greenhouse Gas (GHG) emissions, exploring options to replace the coker's heat source fuel.

As an R&D Assistant at Tangold Inc. Thread Innovations, I provided support in day-to-day operations within the carbon fiber production pilot plant. This included the detailed characterization of carbon fibers and intermediate products, such as tensile testing and elemental analysis. I also assisted in the development of safe operating procedures for various equipment and laboratory processes. Furthermore, I performed data analysis on the characterization data to gain insights into production methodologies. Additionally, I contributed to safety-related projects in both the laboratory and the pilot plant, with the aim of fostering a secure and productive work environment.

As an Audio-Visual Technician at the University of Alberta, I set up equipment for hybrid lectures, resolved technical issues during live streams, and contributed to program improvements. In an environment with a new and challenging hybrid lecture program that presented unexpected issues, I had the opportunity to refine my troubleshooting skills, contributing to a better educational experience for students.
