Dr. Arthur Gray has always been passionate about helping people. When he was three years old, he began telling others he wanted to be a doctor and never once doubted his decision.“I have been good with my hands all my life, and I felt that I had the compassion and work ethic to do well as a surgeon.”After completing his pre-medical degree at Emory University, Dr. Gray and his wife, Rosie, were married and moved to Augusta, Georgia, where Dr. Gray began medical school at the Medical College of Georgia. After medical school he was accepted into the Anesthesiology Residency at the Medical College of Georgia and received the Top Resident Award.Dr. Gray has had a successful career in the medical field, and is not ready to hang up his lab coat. He knew he had the perfect skill set for hair transplant surgery and the desire to continue helping people. A hair transplant surgeon must have a strong hand-eye coordination for the tedious work of harvesting follicular units and implanting them and an artistic ability to create a hairline design that is best-suited to the particular patient.Hair restoration was a perfect fit for Dr. Gray and the idea for the Hair Transplant and Restoration Center was born. “It has taken me many years of medical practice to arrive, but I got here as soon as I could.”Dr. Gray has been married to his wife, Rosie, for 38 years. They have four children, Christopher, Matthew, Sarah, and Hampton. Christopher is married to Jill, and Matthew is married to Angela and they have three children.Dr. Gray and Rosie love to be outdoors. He enjoys fly-fishing, cooking on his Big Green Egg, and bike riding. He has a talent for photography and painting, and recently attended an intensive training at Watts Atelier just north of San Diego for the purpose of honing his drawing and painting skills.
