Provides tailored teams of Observers/Advisors to enable JHQ accomplishment of Training Objectives and certification criteria. Provides SME support to NATO Warfare Development at the joint operational level, including the development of concepts, the integration of new capabilities and the revision of doctrine. Manages SME participation and contribution in functional conferences and forums to ensure that exercise constructs reflect contemporary challenges and capabilities.

Commander of a Combined Arms Battalion of 508 Soldiers that must be prepared to deploy within 36 hours, to close with and destroy enemy forces using fire, maneuver, and shock effect, or to repel his assault by fire and counterattack. Responsible for ensuring the deployment and combat readiness of the battalion task force through the development and execution of rigorous training, maintenance, and Soldier support programs; for maintaining the high state of physical fitness, discipline, morale, and esprit essential to mission accomplishment; and for managing resources to accomplish the aforementioned tasks. Plan and allocate resources to maintain operational readiness and manage an annual training and operations budget of $458,500. Develop policies, procedures, and systems to take care of Soldiers and their Families. Lead by example and set tough realistic standards to maintain a combat ready force and professional development of others.

Coordinate, manage and synchronize the operations and engagements for the Commanding General of First Army. Provide counsel and educated recommendations to the CG. Develop alternate courses of action and support the final decision with vigor. Construct new products for senior officer support and manage older products in support of the Commanding General. Coordinate with senior officials across the Army in support of the CG’s mission and engagement plan. Support the First Army Chief of Staff through integration of the CG’s personal staff with the General Staff and its missions and directions. Perform duties as the CG’s aide in a backup capacity. Provide the Chief of Staff and key staff officers with updates and feedback from the CG. Synchronize movement and support of senior commanders on post and off. Manage one civilian personnel. Performs duties of Executive Officer and Maneuver Task Force Trainer on the Live Fire Combat Training Team for Operations Group, at The National Training Center (NTC). Responsible for developing and executing multi-echelon Live Fire Exercise (LFX) training in support of brigade, task force, company and Special Operations Forces (SOF). Plans the integration of effects of all fires; direct, indirect, UAS, rotary wing and fixed wing aircraft, into Decisive Action (DA) live fire operations. Controls all operations in the live fire area; supervises the maintenance and improvement of all NTC live fire facilities and equipment worth in excess of $50 million. Responsible for the development and well being of seven Officers and fifteen enlisted Soldiers.

Fort Irwin, California

Serves as the Squadron S3 Trainer for Operations Group at the National Training Center. Designs, develops and synchronizes ten 24-day rotations annually that create demanding and realistic training conditions for rotational units consisting of one brigade combat team and the integration of special operations forces, joint forces and various other enablers. Ensures doctrinally correct JTF-level orders and overlays focus on full spectrum operations, training requirements for the Iraq/Afghanistan theater of operation, and rotational unit training objectives. Develops the combat battle instructions for the Opposing Forces (OPFOR). Responsible for the health, welfare and professional development of 10 military and 23 civilian personnel.
