Responsible for extensive personal injury caseload with emphasis in motor vehicle and premises liability cases. Conduct client interviews using independent judgement and initiative to discern facts, gather and compile evidence, identify witnesses, records and other information in order to determine whether to undertake representation. Negotiate settlement with insurance adjusters in a timely and professional manner. Evaluate and analyze computerized and law library research, including statutes, court decisions and legal articles to obtain and gather case-relevant data and materials in preparation of cases.

Caseload consists of personal injury and complex construction defect litigation involving multi-million dollar residential and commercial developments with multiple defendants. Manage all aspects of litigation from discovery through trial preparation. Adept in the preparation and examination of expert witnesses. Have successful record of handling settlement negotiations with adjusters and claims personnel. Manage and coordinate associate counsel, paralegals and administrative staff personnel.

Emphasis in bankruptcy and personal injury litigation. Represented individual debtors in Chapter 7 and Chapter 13 proceedings. Conducted legal research and prepared legal briefs and memorandums on a variety of legal and procedural issues of law for individual and business clients. Key responsibilities included attending creditors’ meetings and hearings, drafting motions to value collateral and avoid liens and other filings related to bankruptcy, and preparing petitions for confirmation.

Emphasis in workers’ compensation and personal injury litigation. Responsibilities included all aspects in workers’ compensation cases, administrative hearings, and vocational rehabilitation proceedings. Negotiated and drafted settlement agreements with claims adjusters and opposing counsel, conducted and defended expert depositions, and tried cases before the Workers’ Compensation Appeals Board.
