We own more than 80 properties in 11 states, including approximately 12,500 residences.Thousands of hardworking team members have helped me make this success possible, led by extraordinary executives who expanded the business while preserving our core values including Michael Putziger, our board chairman and my closest advisor; Larry Curtis, president of WinnDevelopment and my business partners of many years; William Wollinger, our chief operating officer who built and grew the property management company for decades; Deirdre Kuring, president of WinnResidential; and, Patrick Appleby, president of WinnResidential Military Housing Services.I was proud when my son, Gilbert J. Winn, assumed the role of CEO to start 2015. After finishing in the top of his class at the University of Pennsylvania, Gilbert worked for more than two years at Related Capital Company in New York City, where he originated and implemented more than $150 million of equity investments in various projects throughout the United States.In 2003, Gilbert joined WinnCompanies, where he spent eight years making a significant impact for WinnDevelopment specializing in the development of multi-family housing. In the last four years, he prepared for the role of chief executive by refinancing a significant portion of our portfolio and being involved in every aspect of company management with our executive team.
