At Titian, I quickly progressed to Software Team Leader, juggling project and line management with development duties. Rapidly getting up to speed with the Mosaic enterprise application whilst diving into a new industry, I hit the ground running thriving on the challenges thrown my way. Now well versed with automated liquid handling in the pharmaceutical and bio-science industries, I have played a principal role in integrating with Agilent, Labcyte/Beckman, HighRes Bio, Hamilton and Tecan robotic platforms. Fast-forward 10 years and I'm in a Technical Product Manager role continuing to craft Mosaic as the best-in-class LIMS product. At Sony Computer Entertainment Europe (SCEE), I was a Tools Programmer and DBA on several Playstation games (PS2 & PS3), involved in the development of Getaway 1 & 2, all releases of SingStar between 2005-2012, and DanceStar 1 & 2. On the Getaway games, my work was predominantly Maya plugins to aid the vertex lighting of scenes and the management of in-game animations. On SingStar, I developed a robust asset management system to enable the fast turnaround of game releases. Scalability and efficiency were paramount, especially as the database was replicated between outsourced studios.DanceStar was an evolution of SingStar, sharing much tech. A new content markup tool was required, syncing up MIDI to video and gameplay elements.In my spare time, I blog on many websites, both personal and charity, developing WordPress plugins and themes in the area of custom search engines and affiliate marketing.
