As founder of Artise Craft, I seek to provide two primary services for my customers:1) To provide a craft activity that is both engaging and immersive which anyone of any skill level can do. With a great ornament to display upon completion. 2) To address the screen epidemic plaguing the younger generation. By empowering parents of teenagers with the knowledge needed to help the child with digital detoxing and to achieve self-control regarding their screen management.

As an automotive technician I undertook a number of important responsibilities. Such duties include preventative maintenance and repairs on a range of automotive vehicles to ensure it’s operating at an optimal condition, performing computerised diagnostic measures to identify faults and close visual inspections to verify if it meets the state’s roadworthy standards. Skills I developed as an Automotive Technician:• The manual dexterity to work well with my hands.• Responding to customer complaints to directly address and resolve the matter at hand.• The resourcefulness of utilising unconventional means or ‘thinking outside the box’ to solve tricky problems.• A technical aptitude for not only hand tools and machinery but the latest advanced diagnostic systems.• The ability to work under pressure and to organise how I will meet strict deadlines• A wide array of automotive knowledge, with strong attention to detail• The ability to work efficiently in confined or elevated workspaces

My role as a Yardman saw me responsible for manual work within a timber yard. My duties involved me sorting and labelling timber stock, cutting wood to size, making up delivery orders for customers, unloading delivery vehicles by hand or with a forklift truck and assisting customers through service and point of sales transactions.Skills I developed as a Yardman: • The ability to work well with others• Patience and the ability to remain calm in stressful situations• Strong verbal communication skills through further developed customer service• Money handling through purchases, refunds, orders or closing of a register.• The importance of a clean and tidy workplace.

As a courier, my responsibilities primarily saw me distributing various packages and/or documents for institutions, businesses, government agencies and individuals. I collected my daily assigned work from a base warehouse and from there designed routes in a relevant order to ensure all deliveries were made in a swift and efficient manner. Skills I developed as a courier:• Punctuality and interpersonal skills.• Reliability and trustworthiness.• A good sense of direction.• Strong organisational qualities.

As a fine artist, I specialised in two-dimensional work through various visual mediums such as paints or charcoal to create concepts, designs and final artworks that meet my client's needs. Although I was wholly open to undertaking purely business commissions such as logos or designs. My personal artistic style leaned towards colourful abstract expressionism, paired with tongue-in-cheek commentary represented through text and/or imagery.Other work that I have involved myself in as a freelance artist included getting involved in community-run volunteer projects and exhibiting at art gallery shows.Skills I developed as a Fine Artist:• The pure creative ability to generate and develop artistic ideas• Sketch out ideas and to present them to clients for review and revision• Creating a final piece of work in response to a brief or commission request• Negotiating a sale or commission with the ability to plan projects and see them through to fruition• Financial planning which included creating and managing a budget, calculating expenditure and managing the various duties of being self-employed
