Was the Laboratory lead engineer on fielded second generation night vision systems, production engineer on image intensifier night vision systems for Armored Vehicles and development of an image intensifier night vision system test set. Red River Army Depot, Texarkana, TX

Enrolled as an Army Civilian (GS) as a student in the one year program at the DARCOM Army Intern Training Center (later renamed the Army Material Command (AMC) Intern Training Center). Enrolled in the Production/Product Engineering Program. Fifty students were enrolled full-time at the training facility for engineering college graduates to receive.
