Primary responsibility is to advance system-wide innovation in teaching, learning, and policy in ways that increase access and contribute to economic development. Recent initiatives include: systemic alignment of knowledge demand and knowledge development, conducting knowledge demand analyses and creating knowledge development playbooks, creating knowledge and innovation networks, and mobilizing assets as a catalyst for economic development, design and development of new credentials, scalable platforms for knowledge development, practice and performance-based learning environments to improve access and affordability. USG consists of 26 four-year public institutions of higher education.

The Office of Innovation and Outreach consists of the following units: the Office of Aerospace Industry Research (GoAIR), Instructional Design and Development, Innovations in Teaching and Learning, and the Learning Launchpad. Primarily responsible for academic master planning, program development, outreach, and partnership development.

A technology startup to commercialize inventions created while conducting research at the University of Georgia. I worked through the full innovation life cycle from invention to disclosure to external investment. I led the development of the systems, created the business plan, created and presented pitch decks, and effectively raised capital. More than 50 universities and customers in 9 countries used the system capabilities.

Research Scientist (research faculty and graduate faculty) in the Georgia Research Alliance Learning & Performance Support Laboratory (LPSL). My research areas included systematic interpretation of evidence, technology integration to improve human cognition, professional development of educators, access and inclusion of underserved populations, and advanced learning environments. Federal, state, and private sector funding advanced work in remote capture and interpretation of evidence, virtual modeling for cognitive development, assistive technologies, technology integration models, and developing learning environments in ways that improve learning and cognition. Graduate faculty member with academic appointments in the department of Educational Psychology and Instructional Design and the department of Lifelong Education, Administration, and Policy.

Faculty member and program lead. I was a key collaborator for the design and implementation of a new statewide teacher induction model. The first completely online degree for the department was created while I was program lead. Assistive technology integration and design of inclusive learning environments improved through my co-development efforts with faculty colleagues. I led the strategic planning and implementation of a regional video-based user multi-conferencing unit to connect rural schools with professional development opportunities. External funding supported my collaborative efforts to create virtual reality modeling language-based learning environments to increase access for people living in remote areas.

Worked closely with K12 school administrators, boards of education, and teachers in a 52 school system region to integrate technology into classrooms to meet learning standards.

Lead the integration of the School to Work Opportunities Act for 47 school systems in the region. Worked closely with K12 school administrators and teachers to design learning environments that were situated and performance-based.

Advanced the alignment of educational learning standards with project-based and practice-based learning opportunities. Developed collaborations with industries to develop and deliver performance-based learning environments. Created learning opportunities and career pathways for underrepresented and underserved populations.
