Stabilized the university’s antiquated and patch worked e-mail system by converting from a freeware product to Microsoft Exchange with minimal university wide disruption. Developed and implemented the plan to over haul / replace of all major university software including fundraising, financials, payroll and student information system to dramatically increase efficiencies and accuracy. Played a key role in implementing change to provide new and expanded services to the university community. Critical to this effort was the adoption of standards, development of corporate partnerships, and reaffirmation of a commitment to quality service.

Coordinated the training of faculty and administrators on the use and capabilities of the Internet. Developed and implemented an outreach program for area high school students “linking” them to the College. This program was then expanded to area municipalities and other organization, establishing the College of St. Francis as a leader in education and technology. Served as the college’s representative to the Telecommunication Committee of the South Metropolitan Regional Consortium of Higher Education, serving as chairman of the Committee and later as the Consortium’s representative to the State of Illinois’s task force on telecommunication. Designed and implemented the consortium’s video network for distance learning and establish protocols that provided 97% uptime for classes.
