EXPERIENCE:I have started my career in construction while studying for my Master’s at Kingston University. The first position I held was Site Access Controller for the Balfour Beatty Rail. After two years I moved to Concrete Repairs and worked there as a Survey assistant and Contract Engineer on multiple projects, mainly multi-storey car parks, and other concrete structures affected by concrete defects. The majority of Clients were the LA & TFL.I then became a Project Manager and worked there till 2006. I was involved in:- structural concrete repairs of the multistorey carparks, towerblocks and bridges - application of the external concrete/surface coatings with multiple purposes- structural strengthening using standard repair methods,- installation of corrosion inhibitors and structure protection using cathodic protection systems,- Structural strengthening using external carbon fibre wrapping in Dungeness Nuclear Power Station, Kensington Olympia, North Harrow, Stretham railway bridges/ viaducts ( Carbon fibre plates).- External refurbishments of the housing estates, including new roofing, windows and doors.I am currently working as a Contracts Consultant for a private construction company specialising in residential projects including refurbishments & new build. My main services include Contracts Management and Administration, Estimations and Quantity Surveying. QUALITIES AND SKILLS:Throughout my over 20 years career in construction field I gained a substantial amount of experience and skills that are unique and highly applicable. I have a comprehensive knowledge and understanding of HSE and relevant legal regulations and guidelines I have a strong analytical mind which helps me with financial and numeracy management including financial analysis and working within budgets and to deadlines. I possess an excellent IT skills and I am proficient at using Microsoft Office as well as industry-specific software.I am a confident decision-maker with a great team-leading skills and excellent communication and negotiating skills.In my career I was on many occasion under significant pressure so working in such environment is something I am used to.
