CTO – COST TECHNOLOGY OPTIMIZATION – LEAD UK JUNE 2015 – February 2021Lear Corporation, Coventry, UKJaguar Land Rover, Solihull, UKJaguar Land Rover, Gaydon, UKJaguar Land Rover, Whitley, UKRESPONSABILITIES:• Department Lead and Reporting directly to Engineering Director, with Unit responsibility of achieving annual OI Targets;• Liaise with Commercial, Purchasing, Program and Engineering department to validate cost/price requests and their content for program implementation;• Generate and maintain commodity by commodity database with market driven cost/price drivers;• Prepare estimates, from design detail and manufacturing process plan, for new and existing programs for wire harness components based on cost reduction and/or margin improvement;• To hold estimating responsibility for major programs and changes to current production;• Present data for management decisions and communications with suppliers and customers;Cost analysis/Preparation of variance walk and benchmarks;• Review current Internal manufacturing methods and make proposals for improvement where appropriate;• Participate and manage VA/VE & CTO activities by conducting product analysis and calculate cost reductions; • Coordinate Supplier Workshops and Customer Manufacturing Line Walks;• Support customer review and present variance costing to the customer;• Product Margin Improvement – Management and report preparation based on weekly OI performance.
