Audit of existing pods and its improvements:a) audit of a virtual platform from the point of view of an L3 engineer (design, publication, backups, monitoring, etc.)b) checking the sufficiency of hardware resources for service VMs (vCenter, vCD cells, HAProxy, PostgreSQL, NFS, RabbitMQ, etc.)c) performance tuning (for example, vCD tuning: PostgreSQL`s properties, vCD`s global.properties, JVM Heap Size, Tomcat connections, etc.)3. Participation in regular meetings with the assigned customers: a) developing an understanding of the customer’s technical goalsb) VMware product consultationsc) providing the service for achieving by customers their outcomesd) discussing and resolving the current issues4. Development of technological standards and its application to existing pods (standards for setting up of virtualization hosts, virtual switches, monitoring standards of virtualization environment, standards for backing up an infrastructure , etc.)5. Writing a documentation for L2 engineers6. Drawing various schemes (balancing, publishing)7. Improvement of the existing infrastructure monitoring (for example, additional Garbage Collection checks)8. Learning and applying best practices of VMware, vExperts specialists 9. Interaction with VMware Technical Support engineers10. Solving customer issues

Key responsibilities:1. Administration of a cloud platform based on VMware products: vCenter Server, vCloud Director, NSX2. Control of sufficiency of hardware resources, verification of compliance with SLAs, capacity management3. Various kinds of VM migrations (between pods, between clusters, between sites)4. Different migrations of cloud management components: vCenter Server on Windows OS -> vCSA, vCloud Director with an external MS SQL database -> vCD with an embedded PostgreSQL database, etc.5. Physical transfer and installation of an equipment (servers and data storage systems), switching, installation of PCI modules, etc.6. Interaction with VMware Technical Support engineers and Technical Support engineers of equipment vendors (Huawei, Cisco, Lenovo, IBM, Fujitsu, HP)7. Solving customer issuesHave an experience in:1. Deploying pods from scratch (ordering PDUs, installing and connecting equipment to a server rack, switching, organizing a VMware virtualization pod, zonning, creating disk pools and presenting LUNs to virtualization hosts from the storage side, etc.)2. Administration of a VDI solution based on the VMware Horizon View product (more than 500 desktops)5. Administration of a cloud platform based on the VMware vCloud Director product6. Maintaining Blade Server Chassis HPE (including Virtual Connect)7. Solving customer issues (independently and with VMware Technical Support engineers)

Key responsibilities:1. Processing and resolving cloud product customer requests (VMware vSphere + vCloud Director + vShield):a) consultations (providing instructions, assistance in creating VMs, changing its configuration, setting up vShield Edges, creating/deleting virtual networks, working with templates, vApps, etc.)b) basic diagnosticc) collection of necessary information and further escalation2. Administration of virtual desktops (based on VMware Horizon View): creating and deleting, changing Gold Images, Refreshing, Recomposing, restarting agents, etc.3. OS administration (VDI desktops + PC) of company employees: assistance with installing the necessary software, updating, connecting peripheral devices, entering to the domain (AD), updating domain policies, helping to configure mail clients, etc.
