• Works with external suppliers to ensure raw materials are delivered on time and in sufficient quantities to maximize producing plant production schedules.• Track planned fabrication/purchase orders and ensures that capacity constraints are maintained to insure material availability on time.• Assists Senior Buyers with PO entry, complaint entry, truck tracking, and report generation.• Maintain Master SAP data, such as parts coding, lead times, min/max/multiple, safety stock, order policy, supplier delivery data, supplier purchase order re-schedules, minimum order size data, for proper MRP calculations.• Report short and over planned inventory to take opportune actions with vendors.• Oversee and monitor vendor delivery performance to improve supplier reliability.• Assist in the development of the supplier base by measuring key metrics.• Monitor component trends and report accordingly to minimize risk to the company and its customers.
