Originally from Geneva, Switzerland, Arty Furtado started out as a producer and artist. He moved to New York with the aims of making it in the city that never sleeps.As an artist, he grew frustrated with the lack of opportunities for young artists to perform their music. This led to him starting his own artist showcases while in college, where he would book up-coming artists that he loved and promote the event to his college peers. His taste in good artists, combined with the open minded crowd that he attracted, led to artists walking away from the event with upwards of 300 additional followers, as he would book artists that were great but then unknown, one of whom was none other than Doechii.Fast forward to 2023, Arty has become the General Manager at Move Forward Music, where he has produced events for Spotify, Heineken, Twitch, and many more brands. He has worked on concerts for Chief Keef, Tems, Amaarae, Jack Harlow, Destroy Lonely, and more. He has worked on North American tours for Nigerian duo Show Dem Camp. A skilled communicator fluent in 5 languages, he is an expert at making talent and clients feel at ease during a show, and adept at negotiating high-pressure situations and finding creative solutions to challenges in real-time.In March 2024, Arty has founded his own event production agency, called Furtado Global, which aims to promote music from around the world by crafting immersive experiences where the nexus between global artist expression and local cultural identity is seamlessly merged. In just a few months, Furtado Global has produced its own festival with headliner Tanérelle, worked with artists such as Bree Runway, June Freedom, and collective No Nazar, and has produced events for companies like Google.
