• Working as Assembly Owner & lead for all Design and engineering activities from concept to industrialization phase for Active grill shutter, Front end module (FEM), Bumper beam, Bolster or Carrier, and Battery casing• Supporting for Benchmarking, RFQ and RFI• Engineering CAD data and releasing data within E-BOM structures for evaluating cost, weight and milestones.• Working with Costing team to have design within the budget allocated.• Master section, concept section and zone data, attachment features as per customer standards.• Checking Style with CMF, Ergonomics, Safety, Performance with customer standards and provide feedback to the Styling team.• Performing Lesson learned implementation from previous projects wherever applicable• Issue tracker and following up to close the open points with Suppliers and Cross functional teams to meet target date.• Coordinating with supplier for tooling feasibility and providing feedback to team to meet tooling, graining and Fit & Finish.• Resolving concerns and providing countermeasures to issues raised in Digital evaluation, Virtual builds and Pre Production.• Closely working with Supplier and Cross-functional teams.• Analyzing Vehicle Teardown, Benchmarking, Best Practice & Immediate Cost Reduction (IMCR) activity for product.• Initiating VA/VE to save costs with help of Design improvements, process change, Material change without affecting its quality.• Understanding the Projects scope, Project plan and the critical factors to complete the project on time

• Working as Assembly Owner & lead for all Design and engineering activities from concept to industrialization phase.• Closely working with Suppliers and other Cross-functional teams; Studio, PQ, CMF, STAs, Manufacturing, PVT, Materials, Costing, NVH, Validation etc.,• Benchmarking on predecessor vehicles of different OEMs of same platform vehicle and competitor segment vehicles.• Delivering with Engineering DFMEA, DVP&R, DFA, DVA, BOM Management, Ergonomics, Safety, Homologation, PPAP, Quality Std etc., Knowledge of tools such as Catia V5, Siemens NX, Teamcenter and WERS.• Working with Costing team to have design within the budget allocated.• Checking Style with CMF, Ergonomics, Safety, Performance with standards and provide feedback to the Styling team.• Creation of DCS and other documents for RFQ.• Performing Lesson learned implementation from previous projects wherever applicable• Issue tracker and following up to close the open points with Suppliers and Cross functional teams to meet target date.• Coordinating with supplier for tooling feasibility and providing styling feedback to styling team to meet tooling, graining and Fit & Finish.• Resolving concerns and providing countermeasures to issues raised in Digital evaluation, Virtual builds and Pre Production.• Analyzing Vehicle Teardown, Benchmarking, Best Practice & VAVE activities.• Initiating VA/VE to save costs with help of Design improvements, process change, Material change without affecting its quality.• Understanding the Projects scope, Project plan and the critical factors to complete the project on time

• Benchmarking design and technical data from other programs and accepted engineering documentations(Regulation, BOM, test reports, Best practices, etc.)• Performing studies; Head Impact study, Radii check study, Defrost study, Air Vent study as per the regulation and OEM’s standards.• Making the Master Sections with the customer Studio Surfaces with DVA Prediction received from the Dimensional Engineer.• To produce Initial thick surfaces from A-Surfaces provided by the OEM.• Addition of technical features with GD&T on desired locations for assembly as reviewed by the Product and Dimensional Engineer.• Study the tooling feasibility and implement the changes in Part Design as per Tooling feedback if any.• Producing Assembly Process flow report and BOM for cost estimation.• Coordination with the Environment Parts; Door Trims, Pillar Trims, CCB, Windshield etc. and make changes to the working part Proposing the Engg Style changes according with required Gap and Flush, then export to the Studio Designer.• Constant updation of the Plastic parts corresponding to the Studio Surface Revisions and BIW changes.• Providing Component / Assembly Engineering drawings in line with AADES and OEM standards (including GD&T).• Review the Design along with the Team before delivering to the Customer.• Communicate with production plant engineer to change the design of parts due to Sink marks, Weakness of part, Poor fitment, Clash with environment, Harness routing difficulty, Rat-hole, Rattling, Squeaking, Mechanism failureetc.
