• Management of day-to-day activities carried out by service team on both Sulzer and other OEM equipment in brand new Service Centre facility in Riyadh. • Management of technical work-scopes for activities both completed in-house and outsourced to third party contractors.• Coordination of complete overhauls on full range of centrifugal pump types up to 16MW BB5 cartridge pumps, from on-site removal, through complete strip down, inspection, refurbishment, retrofitting, and re-assembly to on-site installation and commissioning.• Managed the transition from old workshop into new facility and getting new workshop up and running while ongoing overhaul projects continued in progress.• Coordination and technical support of field service activities from installation and commissioning, through routine maintenance and on-site repairs to breakdown recoveries and root cause failure analysis investigations.• Implementation and continuous improvement of quality system and health and safety management within service centre and field service operations.• Working with customers and projects team to agree on work-scopes, prepare workpacks, generate quotations, and estimate and manage the budgeting of resources accordingly.• Training and development of multinational service team.• Promoting Sulzer products and capabilities, identifying opportunities and making recommendations to customers leading to further spares, service, and retrofit orders, and supporting organisational growth.

• Mobilising to oil & gas, power generation, water treatment, and manufacturing facilities around the Middle East working on a range of rotating equipment from a variety of OEMs.• Involvement in all phases of large projects from planning & construction, through commissioning & handover to operation and maintenance of critical plant equipment.• Integration with site operations, production and maintenance teams in order to identify requirements to improve performance whilst minimising equipment downtime and impact on operations.• Performing in-depth root-cause analysis investigation on equipment failures or under-performance.• Performing plant surveys to identify and establish requirements for engineering or operational improvements to plant and equipment.• Coordination and management of activities on site and in workshop facilities, as well as activity out-sourced to sub-contractors, ensuring that jobs are turned around in a timely and efficient manner.• Performing and, when required, supervising full scopes of installation, commissioning, maintenance and overhaul of turbomachinery.• Production of technical reports and operating procedures as well as work plans, schedules and trackers to ensure that critical information is relayed as efficiently as possible from remote locations.• Supporting engineering & commercial departments with production of technical requirements, work-scopes and CTRs based on information received from client requests. • Training and development of local work-forces and clientele.• Promotion of Sulzer products & services and exploration of opportunities to support business growth.

• Lead role in installation and commissioning of rotating equipment after having been overhauled in our local service centre; predominantly centrifugal pumps and gas turbines.• Supervision and execution of condition monitoring and maintenance (preventative, predictive & corrective) of pumps and turbines under Sulzer responsibility.• Rehabilitation, commissioning and troubleshooting of all associated systems such as lube oil, fuel gas, instrument & controls, etc.• Planning and scheduling of work scopes and activities, development and review of completions progress and manpower utilisation trackers.• Production of technical reports and procedures, compilation of work-packs.• Coordination of local workforce, materials, logistics and activities required to deliver contractual requirements in both the field and the service centre.• Development of local service centre facility and supervision of operations carried out.• Continuous assessment and review of operations; identification and implementation of improvements to maximise efficiency and productivity.• Supervision and development of local workforce and sub-contractors.• Development, implementation and auditing of safety initiatives.

• Working in different departments within Sulzer’s UK manufacturing facility• Majority of time was spent in the Gas Turbine Test Bed; at the time the largest string test facility of its kind in the world.• Fully trained in the installation and commissioning of a wide range of pump types as well as other turbomachinery including gas compressors and aero-derivative turbines such as the Rolls Royce RB211• Worked closely with other OEM representatives such as MAN Turbo, Rolls Royce and Solar Turbines.• Gained a thorough understanding of commissioning, performance testing and operation of complex packages.• Studied up to HNC level in mechanical engineering
