Help patients in getting second opinion. We have a network with 17 NGOs and help patients get subsidized treatment in specific cities. We are negotiating with few drug manufacturing companies to facilitate supply of cancer medicines at subsidized rates to patients India had 24 lac registered cancer patients in 2014. It was estimated that we will have 7.5 lac new patients every year (figure revised to 11 lac patients)3. An estimated 30% of patients, being bread earners, loose their livelihoods during treatment4. Low medical security means treatment is funded by patient's savings and assets5. No job; No savings means 2.5 lac families are being forced to poverty line due to cancer every year6.
