In my capacity as COO, I steer a team of enthusiastic and passonate professionals dedicated to creating impact. I thrive on strategically developing and executing projects that not only contribute to carbon mitigation but also yield tangible and measurable benefits on ground. My primary focus is to leverage private funding in the carbon market to address pressing rural/tribal community issues and enhance biodiversity. My expertise lies in developing pragmatic and impactful CCB strategies and I have successfully crafted innovative approaches that not only advance carbon sequestration but also foster sustainable livelihoods and elevate the well-being of local populations.I have over 12 years of work experience including academic teaching, wildlife conservation research and development of NbS & Carbon project and implementation / monitoring strategies. I worked as a Project Scientist in the Ken-Betwa River Link Project at the Wildlife Institute of India. I have also worked as a Project Scientist in the National Mission for Sustaining Himalayan Ecosystem Project (NMSHE), looking at the Climate Change Impacts on the natural habitat in the Indian Himalayan Region.My doctoral thesis examines the landscape-level changes in the State of Uttarakhand with a focus on forest fragmentation and its impacts on the protected areas and wildlife habitats across the state. I have published 13 research publication on various environmental biodiversity conservation issues. I am Canadian Queen Elizabeth Scholarship 2018 awardee, and have visited University of British Columbia, Vancouver, Canada and developed a DIY-Activity Book “Climate Cool-Kit” for the school children to understand how the changing climate would affect them at the neighbourhood scale and the ways of sustainable living. At the Wildlife Institute of India, I was part of the team that developed the State-of-the-Art Visualization Laboratory that 3D projected the spatial visualization outputs for stakeholder consultations for policy decisions.I curate and manage a Photo Conservation Blog dedicated to raising awareness about unique wildlife across the globe. With a cumulative view count surpassing 470,000, this blog serves as a platform for showcasing the beauty and significance of diverse species. Through captivating imagery and informative content, I try to foster a deeper understanding of the natural world's intricacies, encouraging readers to appreciate and actively engage in conservation efforts.
