• Finance, accounts, taxation and treasury functions of the entire power business of the SREI group, involving two operating power distribution companies and one under implementation power generation project.• Capital raising & Investor relations of all the Company’s in the power group.• Fund raising for the projects (Term loans, NCDs and equity). Achieved financial closure of 450 MW generation project and a number of distribution projects. • Day to day working Capital management for distribution businesses in WB and Bihar• Overseeing Commercial functions including negotiations for Equipment purchases for power projects• Evaluation & Due Diligence for new business opportunities in the power sector (generation as well as distribution)• Member of the core management team responsible for day to day running of the business as well as for corporate strategy & planning.• Overseeing regulatory filings and strategy for maximizing regulatory gains.• Overseeing secretarial and compliance functions

Special Achievements:• Raised private equity of Rs 450 crs for power business from very reputed private equity funds (IDFC and Macquarie) at a good valuation.• Successfully completed QIP issue of Rs 137 crs for the holding Co. Adhunik Metaliks Ltd.• Maintained high quality relationship with P.E. Investors• Successful in raising cost overrun debt & equity from lenders & investors.

• Overall responsibility of finance, accounts & taxation functions of all the SREI Group Cos.• Equity raising for SREI – domestic as well as overseas. • Financial control of 3 overseas subsidiaries in Germany, UK & Russia.• Resource raising for overseas subsidiaries particularly cultivating new relationships with overseas Banks & Institutions.• Devising strategies for participation of strategic investors/partners in the company including negotiation of shareholder agreements.• Entire investor relations – domestic as well as overseas.• Part of the core team involved in strategic planning.Special Achievements:• Successfully handled the first GDR issue (London listed) by an NBFI in record time of 10 weeks. Achieved huge savings on cost, total cost of GDR issue was only 2% even on a small size of 35 mn USD.• Very focused representations & opinion building regarding NBFI issues, which resulted in getting many amendments in fiscal laws.• Very successful investor relation programme involving continuous meetings with Mutual Funds, Large Investors, Foreign funds, Brokers resulting in substantial improvement in share prices as well as visibility & image of the company among the investor community.• Started new venture capital funding business of the company.• Represented SREI in many trade associations & on the board of a number of domestic & overseas subsidiaries.• Strategized setting up of 3 overseas subsidiaries involving interaction with overseas lawyers, accountants & partners.• Single-handedly worked on fighting out many joint venture disputes & achieved big gains.
