Also, major station yards like Hz Nizamuddin, Tughlakabad and Delhi Sarai Rohilla were in the section. Human resource management and budgetary control for the jurisdiction.• Contract planning, execution and management for the civil engineering and track works for the section.• Actively coordinated with Rail Vikas Nigam Limited (RVNL) who were carrying out the gauge conversion work of one line of Delhi-Rewari section.• Was leading the Divisional Engineering team for running fastest passenger train in India at 150 KMPH in Delhi-Palwal-Agra section. The work involved up-gradation of track structure, major yard remodeling works and safety precautions. The 150 KMPH train started in Feb 2006 during my tenure.

• Planned and monitored track recordings (TRC & OMS) on Northern Railway.• Planned and monitored USFD (Ultrasound Flaw Detection) testing of Rail & Welds on Northern Railway.• Planned and got executed the USFD testing by walking Stick of M/s Sperry, USA for the first time on Indian Railway.• Planning and monitoring of trials of modern track material and equipments.• Monitoring of Rail Welding quality over Northern Railway. • Dealt with the procurement of spares for High-output on-track maintenance and renewal track machines working on Northern Railway.• Planning and finalization of contracts for AMCs (Annual Maintenance Contracts) with the OEMs (M/s Plasser India, M/s HTT, USA, M/s Cummins, M/s Greaves, M/s Deutz etc) or their authorized agents for smooth operation of above track machines.• Planning, creation and establishment of manpower of all category for above track machines over Northern Railway.

• Complete planning, operation, maintenance and monitoring of more than 50 High-output On-track maintenance/renewal machines (TRT, 3X, CSM, WST UNIMAT, BCM, FRM, DGS, PQRS, T-28 & RGM etc) on Northern Railway. Total asset cost of these machines is of the tune of rupee two thousand million.• Planning and monitoring of IOH/POH of major assemblies and Major repairs of machines at three satellite Track Machine Maintenance Depots. • Procurement and inventory management of Consumables and Spares for these track machines.• Personnel Management of approx 700 Track machine Staff of all levels.• As field in-charge of these track machine line organization of Northern railway I was involved in continuous 12-14 hours traffic block working of TRT (Track Relaying Train) achieving a progress of upto 2.6 Km of complete track renewal in a single day.• Planned for setting up of the Zonal Track Machine maintenance depot of Northern Railway at Tughlakabad including all the heavy machines etc.

Lucknow Area, India

• Maintenance and construction of civil engineering assets which includes Track, residential and service Station Buildings, Bridges etc of Kanpur-Lucknow and Lucknow sections of Lucknow Division. The section included major stations like Unnao, Barabanki. Human resource management and budgetary control for the jurisdiction.• Planning of civil engineering and track works and contracts for these works in the section.• Work also involved the planning for track renewal and mechanized maintenance of track for complete Lucknow Division and material/material/machine management.

Allahabad Area, India

• Complete planning, operation, maintenance and monitoring of approx 25 High-output On-track maintenance/renewal machines (UNIMAT, DGS, PQRS, T-28 etc) on Northern Railway. • Planning and monitoring of IOH/POH of major assemblies and Major repairs of machines at satellite Track Machine Maintenance Depots. • Procurement and inventory management of Consumables and Spares for these track machines.• Personnel Management of approx 400 Track machine Staff of all levels.

Allahabad Area, India

• Operation and maintenance of both the departmental Concrete Sleeper Plants (CSPs) on Indian Railway at Allahabad and Khalispur (Near Varanasi).• The material and machinery planning and contract management for uninterrupted production of both the CSPs.• Manpower and IR management for smooth functioning of both the CSPs.

Tundla

• Maintenance and renewal of all civil engineering assets i.e., track, bridges, residential colonies & station buildings etc of Tundla-Aligarh high density high speed double line section, Barahan-Etah & Hathras-Hathras Killa branch lines of Allahabad Division.• Planned and executed group night working of tamping track machines to achieve high output in minimum traffic block on this high density Delhi-Howrah route.• Mechanised deep screening by BCM machine of approx 60 Kms of Tundla-Aligarh UP line was done in a year.

• After joining Indian Railway in IRSE cadre underwent 2 years training in all aspects of construction and maintenance of Civil Engineering in Railways i.e., Track, Bridges, Tunnels and establishment, financing, budgeting etc.• The training included field visits all over Indian Railways. Courses at IRICEN, Pune and Railway Staff College, Vadodara.
