My responsibilities in Veolia, Bahrain includes preventive maintenance of existing systems, designing of new systems to solve the process issues and to improve the process KPI, commissioning of new systems, inspection & verification of materials supplied by third parties, implementation of automation in data analysis & report generation, implementation of organisation standards through various tools(PDCA cycle, 5S, etc...), maintain the control system complying with the industry standards, inventory & asset management,.....Key responsibilities of daily activities includes • Monitor the automation system equipment’s availability for its reliability to the process• Upkeep the revenue metering system and related components with proper records of calibration, service and maintenance• Troubleshoot, carry out corrective actions required in the hardware & software related to control system and maintain them up to date• Maintain the database, backup data, and maintenance records of the IC System equipments• Design, engineering, testing and implementation phases of process automation system• Perform calibration of the I&C system instruments in the in-house laboratory and follow with suppliers for outside calibration• Submit quarterly report consists of system functionality, availability, breakdowns Instrument & Control system in my site is distributed in nine different locations (and counting...) which includes a District cooling plant, a Sewage treatment plant, two potable water pumping stations, two foul pumping stations and 7 Energy transfer stations.The control systems are GE (DCP & ETS), Scheider (pumping stations) & ABB (STP). 90% of the instruments are from Siemens and the rest from E&H, ABB and Emerson.
