Arun is a member of the senior leadership team (reporting directly to CEO) of Health Care Service Corporation (HCSC). HCSC is one of the largest managed care companies in the U.S., serving over 23 million members across the United States, generating over $60 billion in annual GAAP revenue, managing over $110 billion of annual healthcare spend, and employing over 29,000 people.Arun serves as Executive Vice President, Chief Strategy Officer, HCSC and President, Diversified Businesses at HCSC. Enterprise strategic responsibilities include: corporate strategy, enterprise transformation, enterprise project management office (PMO), corporate development, enterprise performance analysis, enterprise risk management, and data and artificial intelligence solutions. Enterprise P&L responsibilities span businesses with over $11 billion of gross revenue, including enterprise pharmacy, ancillary benefits (dental, vision, supplemental health, life, disability), Luminare Health (TPA), Medecision (cloud-based CM/UM), and Innovista (value-based physician enablement). Prior to joining HCSC, Arun was a senior investment banker at Moelis & Company, where he was a founding member of the healthcare team and co-led healthcare coverage. At Moelis, Arun was responsible for talent management and compensation of the healthcare team and co-chair of the Moelis firmwide global new business review committee (responsible for vetting and deciding on client mandates based on their scope, risk, and potential economics). During his investment banking career, Arun advised on over $100 billion of transactions, including mergers, acquisitions, financings, activist defense, recapitalizations, and restructurings.
