I am currently working on a joint project regarding gene expression of NGN2 and its implications on Mouse Embryonic Stem Cells, and U2OS human stem cells as part of my dissertation for my MSc in Clinical Neuroscience. I am performing qPCR's and cell culture experiments using FUS mutated stem cells (both mouse embryonic and U2OS), as well as doing Western Blotting to study protein characterization and quantification. I am doing cell culturing work daily, as well as weekly immunostaining assays and imaging for testing of antibody efficacy.

I stepped up to an executive level and went from the finance chair of Awaazein to the Executive Director for the year 2022-2023. I helped run the overall club/competition and ensured that all tasks were completed in a timely fashion, as well as managed all venue logistics and equipment. I also handled the coordination of all judges and out of state teams in order to ensure they had a valuable experience at our competition. Lastly, I oversaw all budget handling and ensured that the competition was run responsibly in a financial manner.

I handled all finance related inquiries and all bank accounts pertaining to the club/competition in order to ensure that the operation was run smoothly, as well as purchasing all necessary tech equipment and materials vital to the smooth operation of the mixer and competition.

I shadowed various surgeons and observed many procedures, as well as assisted with administrative duties such as pulling patient records, and scribing for surgeons during patient encounters as well.I further performed basic patient procedures including triaging, vitals, and blood draws, and communicated with patients regarding medical history and medications for inclusion in medical reports. I also ran insurance checks for all patients, and aided in patient reception as well.

I was the recipient of a REU, and worked on the encapsulation of ZIF-8 in order to create a single injection vaccination formulation without the need for booster doses. My research largely dealt with the usage and immunological properties of metal-organic frameworks. I performed ELISA work daily in order to quantify antibodies and antigens in mice spleen serum from Days 7-28, as well as created 5 liposome variations for testing permeability through skin membranes for our vaccine formulation.Co-author on three accredited publications: Two in regards to the nanoencapsulation of CpG for increased Immunoadjuvancy. One in regards to the Biolistic delivery of liposomes encased in metal-organic frameworks.

I worked with freshman students every year, largely helping them become acclimated to college life and academic rigor, while also being someone always there for them whenever they may have questions about UTD and other opportunities. I also attended monthly meetings in order to go over new opportunities for freshman students and talk to other mentors on new strategies for inclusivity within the freshman student body.

I was part of a group of hand-selected individuals after a thorough recruiting process to help plan and run university- wide events and foster a culture of school pride within the student body. I worked closely with UTD President Richard C. Benson and other individuals in the UTD faculty to run university-wide philanthropic events that benefit charities from all walks of life.I also organized multiple clothing/food drives for the Buckner Baptist Children's Home as well as blood drives for students on campus to raise medical awareness and donate blood to those in need

I performed patient intake and assisted in patient care procedures such as triaging and taking vitals, as well as delivering administrative support to physician practices aiding in quality healthcare services. I also obtained patient medical histories for inclusion in records, and did insurance filing and scanning for all patients within the clinic.

I worked as a medical scribe, remotely helping doctors in various parts of the United States utilize a new AI developmental software to help guide the writing of notes and patient interactions using audio recordings. I would regularly cross-reference and check the output of the AI model with a human written note in order to double check the capabilities of the model and correct any mistakes.

My research goal working in the Baby Brain Lab was to discover new information about how babies process speech and facial expressions, as well as how babies may remember specific experiences during the first year of life. The studies I conducted primarily uses eye-tracking and/or habituation to evaluate the features of audio, visual, and audiovisual stimuli that most attract infants’ attention. We particularly focus on infant-directed speech and facial expressions.
