I was part of the team that transitioned Swachh Bharat Mission program from Public Health and Enginering department to Rural development department. In the process :* Assisted in revision of implementation strategy, aligning project processes to suite behavior change approach as opposed to a construction led model.* Monitored the implementation of Ganga Action Plan project as the state nodal officer. * Restructured the architecture of Government to Beneficiary payments, initiating smooth flow of funds without lock-in at districts, and with real-time reporting of progress across the implementation chain. This architecture was plugged into the PFMS system.

Performed impact assessment and analysis of various innovations implemented by the Office during Assembly Elections, 2015. Coordinated and authored documentation of best practices as part of practice based learning efforts of the Election Commission.Key learning - A lot of IT innovation happens at the state-level in aspects like logistics and business process management. Although there is some sharing of knowledge and best practices, each state re-invents the wheel every election! There is scope for digital public goods for election process management. - There is such a thing called too many (police) boots on the ground. Widespread show of force may have been detrimental to voter turn out (This hypothesis is an interesting topic to explore). - Voter list needs a massive clean up, combined with an easy mechanism to port EPIC between constituencies.

*Co-conceptualized and piloted Bihar-specific implementation Master plan for Intensive Participatory Planning Exercise under MNREGA, which was scaled up as a state level exercise for Bihar. *Led the systematic voter education program for the district in a resource-constrained environment, resulting in highest voter turn out in the state. This effort garnered the district the President’s award for excellence in voter education.*Led the groundwork for establishment and scale up of Farmer Producer Organisation of Menthol farmers through BAMETI.*Coordinated the relaunch of Swachch Bharat Mission, achieving first open defecation free block in Bihar. This led to an opportunity to work in rural sanitation at the state level.
