The project was construction of 7 storied office building for the department of material science university of Moratuwa.As a Resident Civil Engineer at KSJ Construction (Pvt) Ltd, I had the privilege of contributing to carry out the construction works of 7 storied office building. With a strong focus on quality, efficiency, and safety, I played a key role in overseeing the execution of civil engineering activities throughout my employment.

The Project was construction and completion of toll plaza and toll facility buildings at Dambokka, Kurunega & Gattuwana Interchanges. It was included 03 nos of single storied power house buildings, 02 nos of two storied office buildings, 01 no of three toried administration building, landscaping and access roads.As a Consulting Civil Engineer, my role was to provide expert advice, solutions, supervisions and guidance to contractor and stakeholders in the project. I leveraged my technical expertise and project management skills to deliver successful completion of the project. Through close collaboration with all stakeholders and addressing various architectural aspects and concerns, I ensured the delivery of a high-quality construction project that met the client's expectations and enhanced transportation infrastructure in the region.

The project was construction of lanva sanstha cement factory in Mirijjavila, Hambantota. It was included variety of industrial buildings, office and accommodation buildings, silos, conveyer belt, landscaping and internal roads.As a Civil Engineer contributing to the project, my role was to execute and oversee various construction activities in accordance with engineering drawings and specifications. One of the significant challenges encountered on the project was the management of rainwater disposal and the treatment of soft ground due to the marshy nature of the site. Leveraging my previous experience and technical skills, I applied effective strategies to overcome these challenges and ensure the successful completion of the assigned construction activities.

The project was the design and construction of the hostel facility for the National Institute of Education in Maharagama.As the Site Manager for the design and construction of the hostel facility for the National Institute of Education in Maharagama, located at Meepe, my responsibilities encompassed overseeing and managing various civil activities, including Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) works. The project involved the construction of a three-story hostel building.

The project was construction of 4 storied office building for the institution of sports medicine, Ministry of Sports, Maitland place Colombo 07.As a project manager for the construction of a 4-storied office building for the Institution of Sports Medicine, Ministry of Sports, located at Maitland Place, Colombo 07, my role encompassed comprehensive oversight and management of the civil and MEP works to ensure the successful completion of the project.In this capacity, I demonstrated my proficiency in various key areas. Firstly, I excelled in project planning by defining clear objectives, establishing the project scope, and devising a well-structured timeline for completion. With a keen eye for detail, I meticulously managed the project budget, diligently tracking expenses and ensuring cost control throughout the construction process.Procurement and contract management were integral aspects of my responsibilities. I adeptly sourced and acquired the necessary materials, equipment, and services, skillfully negotiating contracts with suppliers and subcontractors to ensure favorable terms and adherence to project specifications.To guarantee the highest standards of construction, I provided comprehensive oversight of the civil works, including site preparation, foundation construction, structural elements, and building exteriors. By meticulously adhering to relevant building codes and regulations, I ensured compliance and upheld safety standards.Additionally, I successfully managed the MEP works, effectively coordinating the installation and integration of HVAC systems, electrical wiring, plumbing, and related components. My hands-on approach and expertise ensured seamless integration and functionality of these critical systems within the building.

During my employment, I played a pivotal role in the construction of a 6-story apartment building, focusing specifically on the pile construction phase. I successfully executed the installation of cast-in-situ bored piles with diameters of 900mm and 1200mm, which served as critical foundations for the entire structure.My responsibilities included overseeing the entire process, from site preparation to the final concrete pouring. I collaborated closely with the project team, engineers, and contractors to ensure the proper execution of the pile construction.Key Contributions:Demonstrated expertise in the installation of cast-in-situ bored piles, adhering to industry standards and specifications.Conducted thorough site assessments to determine the optimal pile locations, considering soil conditions and load requirements.Operated and maintained drilling equipment to create precise holes of the designated depths.Oversaw the placement of steel reinforcement cages, ensuring their proper alignment and adherence to design plans.Facilitated the pouring of high-quality concrete into the piles, guaranteeing complete fill and structural integrity.Implemented stringent quality control measures throughout the construction process, including inspections and tests, to ensure compliance with project requirements.Collaborated effectively with cross-functional teams, including engineers, contractors, and site personnel, to ensure seamless coordination and timely project completion.Demonstrated a keen eye for detail and commitment to excellence, resulting in a robust foundation for the 6-story apartment building.

I worked as a site engineer at International Construction Pvt Ltd., where I made significant contributions to three projects: the design and construction of the National Institute of Education at the University of Moratuwa, Phase II of the Havelock City development, and the construction of bungalows and villas at Bandarawela.In my role as a site engineer, I was involved in various technical aspects of these projects. This included overseeing setting out works, which involved accurately positioning and marking key elements on the construction site, such as foundations and building corners, in accordance with the project's design and specifications. By ensuring precise setting out, I helped establish a strong foundation for the construction work.Additionally, I was responsible for bar scheduling, a critical process in reinforced concrete construction. This involved determining the type, quantity, and placement of reinforcement bars (rebars) within structural elements like columns, beams, and slabs. Proper bar scheduling was essential to ensure the structural integrity and strength of the buildings.Formwork was another area where I played a significant role. Formwork refers to the temporary structures used to shape and support freshly poured concrete until it gains sufficient strength to stand on its own. As a site engineer, I coordinated the installation and removal of formwork, ensuring its accuracy and safety during the construction process.Lastly, I oversaw the concreting activities on the projects. This included supervising the mixing, transportation, and placement of concrete according to the project requirements. I ensured proper compaction of the concrete and monitored the curing conditions to achieve the desired quality and durability.Through my involvement in these various technical aspects, I made valuable contributions to the successful completion of above projects

The project was rehabilitation and improvement of the A09 road from Katugastota to Naula.As a QA/QC Engineer involved in the rehabilitation and improvement of the A09 road from Katugastota to Naula, my primary responsibility was to carry out and oversee quality assurance works related to the various activities in road construction. This project was a significant milestone for me as it was my first job after completing my bachelor's degree, allowing me to apply and gain practical experience with the fresh theoretical knowledge I had acquired.During the project, I had the opportunity to contribute to the successful execution of the construction works by conducting various tests related to road construction.
